Sindh Uncovers Rs88.4 Million Irregularities in Karachi Girls’ College Project

The Sindh College Education Department has identified financial irregularities worth Rs88.4 million in two development projects at a girls’ college in Murad Memon Goth, Karachi. Out of the Rs95 million budget, more than 90% has been spent despite only 60% of the work being completed. Following a review meeting, authorities issued show-cause notices and directed a detailed audit. The two contracting firms involved were blacklisted and their security deposits forfeited. This action demonstrates the provincial government’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and efficient management of educational development funds, ensuring that resources benefit students and local communities as intended.
