Lahore: The Punjab Ring Road Authority Council has approved several operational and development measures for major road projects at its 17th meeting, chaired by Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth. According to an official Punjab DGPR statement, the council approved the authority’s annual budget for 2026–27 and the establishment of a regional office to manage and maintain Rawalpindi Ring Road. Tolling operations on the road will be handled through One Network. The council also approved service areas for Rawalpindi Ring Road and Gujranwala Expressway, alongside a Business Development and Monitoring Cell. Cellular towers were approved to improve mobile and internet coverage, while land at Abdullah Gul, Halloki and DHA Phase 9 will be offered on lease for tower installation.
