Quantum Global to build Pakistan’s largest Tier III data centre

Islamabad: Quantum Global Data Centre (QGDC), backed by Gul Ahmed Energy Group, has announced plans to construct Pakistan’s largest Tier III data centre, with operations expected to begin in 2027. The project starts with a $230 million investment, potentially increasing to $600 million over time. In partnership with Huawei Pakistan, QGDC also aims to establish a science and technology park to boost digital growth. Company leaders note that rising demand for AI, cloud services, and digital infrastructure makes local data centres crucial for economic development, technological innovation, and reducing reliance on foreign computing resources. This initiative is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy and tech ecosystem.
