Punjab to Upgrade Alhamra, Launch Performing Arts Academy

Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari chaired an important meeting regarding the renovation and upgradation of Alhamra Art Centre and Alhamra Cultural Complex. The meeting was attended by Secretary Information & Broadcasting Tahir Raza Hamdani, Executive Director Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal, and Deputy Director Admin Umair Hassan.Officials from the C&W Department presented a detailed briefing on ongoing and upcoming projects, including building repairs, modern sound and lighting systems, new seating arrangements, interior upgrades, and other technical improvements.The minister formally approved the installation of new seating and directed that both Alhamra Art Centre (Mall Road) and the Cultural Complex be upgraded to international standards.A major decision announced during the meeting was the establishment of the Punjab Performing Arts Academy at the Alhamra Cultural Complex to promote arts and culture across the province.
