The Punjab Planning and Development Board has approved Rs. 164.52 billion for multiple development schemes during its 43rd Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting for FY 2025–26. Chaired by Acting Chairman Rafaqat Ali, the session approved allocations for key initiatives, including Rs. 7 billion for the Chief Minister’s School Meal Program, Rs. 4.16 billion for establishing Aqua Agriculture Malls, and Rs. 10 billion for a shrimp farming project at Rakh Iwali, Muzaffargarh. The largest share — Rs. 143.36 billion — was sanctioned for 22 urban development projects across Punjab. Senior officials from the P&D Board and related departments attended the meeting, reaffirming the government’s commitment to sustainable growth and improved public service delivery across education, agriculture, and urban sectors.
