Maryam Nawaz Approves Two Major Transport Schemes for Punjab

Punjab’s Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, announced that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved two new major public transport projects — a tram service and a high-speed train system — to further modernize the province’s connectivity infrastructure. She said Punjab’s ongoing development programs reflect Maryam Nawaz’s commitment to public service and transparency. In addition, Bokhari confirmed the launch of the Punjab Air Company and the province’s first Air Ambulance Service, aimed at improving emergency response. She highlighted province-wide progress under welfare schemes such as the Kissan Card, with Rs. 100 billion distributed to farmers, and the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar housing initiative, which is constructing 110,000 homes. These projects, she said, demonstrate equal development from Attock to Rahim Yar Khan.
