Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei shaheed

Tehran: Iranian state television has announced that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in his office on Saturday morning, after which authorities declared 40 days of national mourning across the country. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council described the development as the beginning of a major confrontation following recent large-scale attacks on Iranian targets blamed on the United States and Israel. The killing has sharply heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Analysts warn that prolonged instability in Iran could influence regional investor sentiment, energy markets and cross-border economic activity, including property investment flows in nearby Gulf economies.
