Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Links 43 Cities Under Safe City Network

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif digitally inaugurated the Punjab Integrated Safe City Network, connecting Safe City facilities across 41 districts and two tehsils, covering 43 cities. Punjab Safe Cities Authority Managing Director Ahsan Younis said the integrated system combines artificial intelligence, intelligent surveillance, Emergency 15, traffic management, real-time command and control and predictive policing. The chief minister said the entire province could now be monitored through an integrated digital system and announced plans to extend Safe Smart Cities to every tehsil and union council. Referring to the riverine belt, Maryam Nawaz claimed that more than 70 areas had once been considered no-go zones but that no such area now remained, including Katcha. She also cited a recently organised cricket tournament there as evidence of improved security conditions.
