Punjab reviews road restoration progress, directs timely completion of projects

Lahore: A high-level meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bherth reviewed the progress of road restoration projects across Punjab. Officials reported that out of 86 schemes, work is ongoing on 57 projects, covering approximately 1,951 kilometers of roads with an overall progress of 76.71 percent. The minister expressed satisfaction with work in districts such as Rajanpur, Multan, and Gujranwala, while directing improvement in performance in other areas. Authorities emphasized strict monitoring of construction quality and adherence to timelines to ensure efficient delivery of infrastructure and better transportation facilities for the public.
