Punjab releases Rs93.3m for Central Library Bahawalpur revamp

Bahawalpur: On the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government has released special funds of Rs93.3 million for the restoration and revamping of Central Library Bahawalpur. The project includes rehabilitation of halls, doors, flooring and electrical systems, along with installation of modern CCTV cameras. Spread over 65 kanals and originally built in 1924, the historic facility is being upgraded on modern lines to preserve academic heritage. Officials stated that the initiative reflects the government’s broader focus on improving public buildings and educational infrastructure across the province.
