Punjab launches WASA e-portal for real-time complaint management and drainage monitoring

Lahore: The Punjab government has launched a digital e-portal for WASA to ensure timely resolution of public complaints and real-time monitoring of field operations across districts. Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin inaugurated the system, which integrates a complaint management platform with the 1334 helpline. The portal enables geo-tagging of manholes and detection of open drains, with over 3,000 hazardous points already identified. Authorities stated that 937 modern machines are being deployed to improve drainage and urban services, while major sewerage and disposal projects are underway in 15 districts. The initiative aims to enhance service delivery, reduce urban flooding risks, and improve overall civic infrastructure.
