Punjab free transport serves 40 million passengers in one month

Ali Raza Wajid : Lahore: Punjab’s free public transport initiative has achieved a major milestone, with nearly 40 million passengers benefiting from the service between April 4 and May 4. The सुविधा covered Metro Bus services, Orange Line Metro Train, Speedo buses, and electric buses across multiple cities. Over 10 million passengers used the Orange Line, while Lahore Metro Bus served around 6.4 million and Speedo buses over 4.5 million commuters. Additional ridership was recorded in Rawalpindi and Multan systems, along with electric bus networks across districts. Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan praised officials for ensuring uninterrupted service despite heavy rush and directed them to maintain service quality and address public complaints efficiently.
