Punjab dispatches 13 sewerage machines to WASAs in six districts

Lahore: Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Bilal Yasin has dispatched 13 modern machines and vehicles to Water and Sanitation Agencies in six districts as part of the province’s phased equipment programme. According to a Baldiyat Times report, the latest consignment includes sewer-suction units, sewer-jetting machines, wheel excavators and winch machinery for cleaning sewer lines, desilting and drainage operations. The named recipient districts include Nankana Sahib, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujrat and Rawalpindi, while the report does not identify the sixth district. Yasin said 301 machines and vehicles have now been provided to WASA organisations across Punjab. Director General WASA Punjab Tayyab Farid, Project Director Umar Farooq and other officials attended the dispatch event. The provincial fleet programme and several recipient cities were also previously highlighted in an official Punjab government update.
