Peshawar’s Rs3.2bn Warsak Road Flyover Moves Ahead With Construction in Full Swing

Peshawar: Construction is continuing on the Warsak Road Flyover, a major component of the Peshawar Revitalisation Plan and the Ring Road Phase-II corridor. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi formally launched the project in late June 2026. The flyover is planned to be approximately 800 metres long, with an estimated cost of Rs3.2 billion and a stated construction period of 180 days.

The project is designed to improve traffic movement around the busy Warsak Road–Ring Road corridor, where congestion has remained a major issue. Officials have described the flyover and the nearby Palosi Flyover as important elements of the wider effort to strengthen Peshawar’s urban road network.

The latest contractor-issued update from M/s New Khan Builders (NKB) shows construction activity continuing across multiple work fronts. However, the update does not provide an official percentage of completion, so the current progress should be described as ongoing rather than assigning an unverified completion figure.

The project’s active status is independently supported by an August 21, 2026 inspection in which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah reviewed construction progress on both the Warsak Road and Palosi flyovers and directed authorities to accelerate work while maintaining quality standards.
