Pakistan’s Services Exports Grow 16.5% in First Half of FY26

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded a strong 16.5 percent growth in services exports during the first half of fiscal year 2025–26, with exports reaching $4.764 billion, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The increase was led by the ICT sector, where IT exports rose 20 percent to $2.236 billion. In December 2025 alone, services exports climbed to $935 million, showing solid month-on-month growth. While services imports also increased, experts say policy reforms, including higher foreign currency retention limits, have supported export growth, providing relief to Pakistan’s economy amid rising import pressures.
