Cement Sales Rise 12.5% in January on Strong Export Growth

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s cement industry recorded strong growth at the start of 2026, with total cement dispatches rising 12.54 percent year-on-year in January, according to data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association. Total dispatches reached 4.538 million tonnes, driven mainly by a sharp rebound in exports. While domestic sales showed modest improvement, export volumes surged over 61 percent, highlighting increasing reliance on overseas markets amid uneven local construction activity. Industry officials say the performance reflects steady recovery momentum in the cement sector during the current fiscal year.
