Pakistan launches indigenous EO-3 satellite, marks major space milestone

Islamabad: Pakistan has achieved a significant milestone in its space program with the successful launch of its indigenous Electro-Optical Satellite (EO-3) from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. Developed by SUPARCO, the satellite is expected to enhance the country’s capabilities in earth observation, mapping, and environmental monitoring. Officials state that EO-3 will support urban planning, disaster management, and agricultural assessments through high-resolution imaging. The launch reflects Pakistan’s growing collaboration in space technology and its focus on advancing scientific and technological infrastructure. This achievement marks a step forward in strengthening national capabilities in satellite-based data and strategic planning.
