Islamabad: Pakistan imported around 16.1 million tonnes of crude oil and refined petroleum products during the first 11 months of FY2025-26 to meet rising domestic energy demand. Crude oil accounted for nearly 9.7 million tonnes, while over 5 million tonnes of motor gasoline, including 92, 95, and 97 RON grades, were also imported. High-speed diesel totaled approximately 1.26 million tonnes, and aviation fuel exceeded 124,000 tonnes. Import volumes varied due to refinery maintenance, inventory management, and shifting domestic consumption patterns, underscoring Pakistan’s continued dependence on imported petroleum to fuel its economy.
