Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a new spell of thunderstorms and rain across multiple regions starting from April 6. Heavy rainfall with hailstorms is expected in parts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Swat, and Chitral between April 6 and 9. In Punjab, cities such as Lahore, Murree, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad are likely to experience rain and strong winds, causing a noticeable drop in temperature. Rainfall in Islamabad may continue until April 8, while Murree could see further showers within 24 hours. Sindh cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur are also expected to receive rain. Authorities have warned of possible flooding in low-lying areas and advised caution due to landslide risks in northern regions.
