Lahore: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) is developing CBD Punjab at the former Walton Airport site, which the authority officially describes as Pakistan’s first Central Business District. Its stated objective is to create a major business and investment district through high-rise commercial, residential and mixed-use development.
Official PCBDDA material places the project’s preliminary financial feasibility at around Rs2.7 trillion to Rs3 trillion. The master plan is divided into five broad districts: commercial, digital, residential, entertainment and government zones, connected through planned urban infrastructure and green spaces.
CBD Punjab is also actively offering land and development opportunities through public auctions, joint ventures, public-private partnerships and foreign direct investment models. In its latest investment offering, two high-rise commercial plots in CBD Quaid District were scheduled for auction on September 10, 2026, with a reserve price of Rs300 million per kanal including development charges.
The authority has also announced that CBD Quaid and CBD Bab received LEED for Communities Gold Precertification, which evaluates district-level planning across sustainability, infrastructure, mobility, resilience and governance.
