Lahore intensifies Suthra Punjab cleaning drive across Nishtar Town and suburban hotspots

Lahore: Under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Suthra Punjab vision, Lahore’s sanitation operations have been intensified across urban and rural areas with a focus on equal cleanliness standards. Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore teams are carrying out scraping, sweeping, washing, hotspot clearance, and door-to-door waste collection in Nishtar Town and adjoining suburban zones. More than 1,500 sanitation workers and officers are deployed in three shifts, supported by 283 operational vehicles and 313 loader rickshaws. Officials say 22 hotspot areas, including Haloki, Chandray, Kahna Nau, Gajju Matta, and Bedian Road, have been cleared, while zero-waste activity continues phase-wise. Strong sanitation operations improve public health, neighborhood value, civic confidence, and urban livability. Will sustained cleanliness reforms strengthen Lahore’s development image?
