Lahore cracks down on illegal constructions, buildings demolished and sealed

Muhammad Muzamil Awan: Lahore: The district administration, under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ejaz, carried out a major operation against illegal constructions in Shalimar Zone. The Metropolitan Corporation Lahore’s Town Planning Wing demolished five illegal structures and sealed four buildings for violating municipal building codes. The enforcement drive covered multiple areas including Sultanpura, Haq Nawaz Road, Tariq Shaheed Road, Begumpura, Baghbanpura, and Multani Colony. Authorities stated that the operation aims to ensure compliance with approved building plans, enforce regulations, and safeguard public safety. Officials reiterated a zero-tolerance policy against illegal constructions across the city.
