Lahore: The district administration has intensified action against smoke-emitting and pollution-causing vehicles as part of Lahore’s pre-smog enforcement drive. According to the latest administration update, 25 vehicles were impounded, 52 were challaned and fines totaling Rs200,000 were imposed during the operation.
The action was carried out on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Capt. (Retd.) Muhammad Ali Ijaz, whose current designation is confirmed by the official Lahore district administration directory. Punjab’s environmental authorities are separately running an intensified pre-smog campaign, with vehicle-emission checks identified as a key enforcement priority.
Citizens have also been encouraged to report pollution and smog-related violations through the Green Punjab App or EPA helpline 1373.
