High-Voltage Hanging Wires Pose Serious Risk in Gulberg Goro Mangat Road

LAHORE: Residents of Gulberg’s Goro Mangat Road, Street No. 6, are facing serious safety risks due to dangerously hanging high-voltage electricity wires passing directly in front of their homes. Locals said the wires have remained unattended for the past five to six years, increasing the risk of electric shocks, especially during rainfall. Residents fear allowing children outside due to the constant threat of electrocution and report living under continuous mental stress. Despite repeated complaints to relevant authorities, no effective action has been taken so far. Citizens have demanded immediate reorganization of the wiring system, installation of a safe network, and relocation of high-voltage lines away from residential areas to prevent any major incident.
