RUDA Seals Offices of Illegal Housing Schemes, Action Against Sand Mafia

LAHORE: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has intensified its crackdown against illegal housing schemes and the sand mafia within Ravi City, sealing multiple project offices and dismantling illegal infrastructure. The enforcement operation, led by the Deputy Director Enforcement, resulted in the sealing of Hasnain City and Bismillah Housing Garden in Kot Abdul Malik.

In Ferozewala, RUDA teams sealed the offices of Adeel Garden, Azeem Garden, Mateen Garden, and Khurram Town, while further action led to the sealing of Al-Haq Garden, Hassan Block, and Smart Homes. During a separate operation against the sand mafia, illegal trolleys were offloaded and heavy machinery was taken into custody.

RUDA officials stated that enforcement actions will continue until all illegal housing schemes are either regularized in accordance with the law or permanently shut down, reaffirming the authority’s commitment to planned urban development and environmental protection.
