Gujranwala promotes eco-friendly vending and canal tourism

Gujranwala: Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed visited the eco-friendly vending market established along the Upper Chenab Canal early morning to review maintenance, cleanliness and protection arrangements. The initiative aims to provide dignified livelihood opportunities while keeping public spaces organized and environmentally responsible. He also inspected Canal View Park and the boating point developed with the cooperation of the Tourism Department Punjab. Instructions were issued to water Canal View Park regularly due to intense weather conditions. Such projects can improve public recreation, tourism activity and small business income while enhancing the city’s urban appeal. Better-managed public spaces can also support nearby commercial value and residential attraction. Will this boost Gujranwala’s public space economy?
