LDA says Bhati Chowk underpass reaches 43 percent progress

Muhammad Muzamil Awan: Lahore: LDA Director General Tahir Farooq visited the under-construction Bhati Chowk Underpass and Data Darbar expansion project to review development progress and construction quality. Officials briefed him that 43 percent work on the Bhati Chowk Underpass has been completed, while excavation, pile work, retaining walls and cap beam construction are continuing without interruption. Finishing work is also underway on the pedestrian underpass, parking area, washroom block and piazza area linked with the Data Darbar remodeling project. The DG directed the project director, contractor and NESPAK representative to ensure 100 percent quality across all components. The project can improve mobility, pedestrian safety, commercial access and tourism flow. Will this upgrade reshape Lahore’s historic urban corridor?
