Dense Fog and Cold Weather Disrupt Travel in Lahore

Lahore is experiencing intense cold weather as dense fog has engulfed the city, causing disruptions to daily life and travel. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the current temperature in Lahore is around 7°C, with a minimum of 4°C and a maximum of 16°C expected during the day. Reduced visibility due to fog led authorities to close sections of the Lahore–Islamabad Motorway (M-2) to prevent accidents. Wind speed was recorded at 3 km/h, while humidity levels reached 72 percent. Weather officials warned that cold conditions may intensify further in the coming days and advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and follow precautionary measures.
