Crores Fraud Reported at Hall Road Solar Market

Police have registered a case involving a large-scale financial fraud worth over Rs162 million at the Hall Road Solar Market in Lahore. According to police officials, the FIR was lodged at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station on the complaint of trader Umair Yousaf, with other affected businessmen including Aqeel Aamir, Hassan Bilal, and Syed Abozar. The accused—Saghir Ahmed, Saddam Hussain, and Afzal—were booked under charges of criminal breach of trust. The FIR states that the victims handed over the amount as security for solar equipment, which was neither delivered nor refunded. Police say further legal action will be taken if additional complaints are received, as investigations into the alleged scam continue.
