China’s Hebei Juhang Energy Plans Large-Scale Solar Panel Plant in Pakistan

China’s Hebei Juhang Energy Technology Group has expressed strong interest in establishing a large-scale solar panel manufacturing plant in Pakistan to cater to both domestic and export markets. The announcement was made during a meeting in Islamabad between Group Chairman Wang Jianbin and Pakistan’s Minister for the Board of Investment (BoI), Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh.The delegation outlined plans to invest billions of dollars in Pakistan’s solar energy and high-tech sectors. Minister Sheikh welcomed the initiative, highlighting recent reforms, including the launch of a Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) and improved investment incentives.BoI offered 6,000 acres of land for the project and briefed the group on Special Economic Zones offering a 10-year tax holiday.The meeting also reviewed outcomes of the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference, which secured $8.5 billion in agreements. Minister Sheikh reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Chinese investors and accelerating feasibility and joint-venture processes.
