Bilal Yasin: 131,680 people receive interest-free loans for home construction

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin announced that 131,680 individuals have been provided interest-free loans under the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program to support home construction. Officials stated that over 1.9 million people have registered, with more than 1.135 million applications received so far. Currently, 83,330 houses have been completed, while 45,425 are under construction. Authorities added that Rs183 billion has been disbursed, with Rs8.4 billion recovered. This month, an additional 18,375 beneficiaries will receive loans. Furthermore, under the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” scheme, 2,000 families are being allocated free plots. The initiative aims to boost housing development and provide affordable homeownership across Punjab.
