Attock Refinery resumes production after two-week shutdown

Islamabad: Attock Refinery Limited has resumed operations of its main crude distillation unit after a temporary shutdown lasting nearly two weeks. The unit, with a capacity of 32,400 barrels per day, was halted due to supply disruptions and logistical constraints caused by restricted oil tanker movement. Officials confirmed that operations restarted after normalization of crude oil supply and product dispatch systems. This development under the Governance & Policy Cluster highlights the importance of stable energy supply chains for the national economy. For Lahore and Punjab, restoration of refinery operations can help stabilize fuel availability and reduce supply pressure. Will this recovery ease fuel supply concerns across the country?
