Google Completes Registration, to Open Pakistan Office Soon

Google has officially registered in Pakistan and will soon open its local office, a landmark step in advancing the country’s digital economy. The move aligns with the government’s “Digital Pakistan” initiative, which aims to promote innovation, investment, and skill development. Alongside this, Chromebook manufacturing has begun in Haripur, targeting around 500,000 units annually. This initiative is expected to create jobs, strengthen local tech manufacturing, and support export growth. Officials say Google’s local presence will enhance collaboration on AI research, youth training programs, and the development of digital infrastructure. Experts view the move as a gateway for foreign tech giants to invest in Pakistan’s growing digital and IT ecosystem.
