Loudi and Gujrat sign sister-city pact to boost trade and investment

Lahore: China’s Loudi City in Hunan province and Gujrat have signed a sister-city and mutual economic cooperation agreement to expand collaboration in agriculture, trade, economy, science and technology, culture, education, tourism, and other sectors. The agreement was signed by Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and Loudi Deputy Mayor Yang Wei during a ceremony attended by Chinese Consul General Sun Yan, Punjab investment officials, and a high-level Chinese delegation. A joint working relationship group will be formed to ensure regular coordination, business linkages, and delegation exchanges. Officials said the agreement can bring new Chinese investment to Gujrat, create local jobs, and strengthen Punjab’s industrial growth. Can this partnership open a new investment corridor for Gujrat?
