Gujranwala DC strengthens public complaint redressal

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Gujranwala: Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed continued public complaint hearings during fixed official office hours to improve public access and strengthen governance. During the session, citizens presented their complaints and local issues, while the deputy commissioner issued implementation orders to the relevant departments. Officials were directed to resolve public problems on a priority basis and ensure timely follow-up. This practice matters because accessible administration improves public trust, service delivery, and coordination between citizens and departments. Faster resolution of civic issues can also support urban management, business confidence, property maintenance, and neighborhood-level development. For residents, timely government response can reduce delays in local services and improve daily life. Can regular public hearings make governance more responsive?
