DG LDA Tahir Farooq Inspects Progress of Data Darbar Expansion and Bhatti Chowk Underpass Projects

Muhammad Muzamil Awan: Lahore: DG LDA Tahir Farooq visited the ongoing Data Darbar Expansion and Bhatti Chowk Underpass projects to assess their progress. During the visit, Chief Engineer TEPA Iqrar Hussain and Project Director briefed him on the current status. The construction work on both projects is progressing rapidly. The Bhatti Chowk Underpass has completed 34% of its work, with retaining walls being built at a fast pace. Additionally, the finishing work on the pedestrian underpass connected to the Data Darbar expansion project is underway. DG LDA also reviewed the development of the parking area and piazza around Data Darbar, urging the contractors to maintain the quality of work and ensure safety measures. Relevant officials from TEPA, NESPAK, and the contractors were present during the inspection. Later, DG LDA also evaluated the ongoing work around the railway station area.
