On the directions of Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan, the involved bus conductor has been arrested, dismissed from service, and legal proceedings have been initiated. Authorities emphasized that passenger safety, especially women’s protection, is a top priority and no compromise will be made. The government has also issued a dedicated helpline (1071) for reporting such incidents and ensuring prompt response. Officials reiterated that strict enforcement measures will continue to provide a safe and respectful travel environment for all citizens across Punjab.
