Pakistan: The construction of the Sialkot–Kharian and Kharian–Rawalpindi motorway is expected to significantly improve connectivity and transform the region’s economic landscape. Officials say the project will reduce travel time between Lahore and Islamabad to approximately two and a half hours, making intercity travel faster and more efficient. The new motorway will enhance trade routes, support logistics and boost real estate and commercial activity in surrounding areas. Authorities believe improved infrastructure will attract investment, facilitate smoother transportation and contribute to regional development, benefiting both commuters and businesses across Punjab.
