Lahore: Punjab Revenue Authority has collected more than Rs220 billion in tax revenue during the first eight months of the current fiscal year, according to officials. The figure represents a significant increase compared with Rs156.3 billion collected during the same period last year, showing an additional growth of over Rs63 billion. The update was shared during a meeting chaired by PRA Chairman Muazzam Iqbal Sapra to review monthly revenue targets. Officials said expansion of new tax sectors and improved enforcement contributed to the rise in collections. Authorities indicated that further administrative reforms are being planned to achieve the largest tax revenue target in Punjab’s history.
