90 price control magistrates deployed across Lahore markets

Lahore: The district administration under Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ijaz has intensified monitoring to control inflation and ensure availability of essential food items at official rates. Around 90 price control magistrates and assistant commissioners are conducting continuous surveillance in fruit and vegetable markets, bazaars and major commercial areas. Authorities also strengthened the supply chain by ensuring timely arrival of onion and potato trucks, resulting in minor price reductions for key commodities. Officials said strict enforcement against profiteers will continue. Citizens can now register complaints through the “Qeemat Punjab” mobile application or the dedicated helpline to facilitate immediate action.
