Karachi roads closed, security tightened near diplomatic zones

Karachi: Authorities have closed major roads and tightened security across key areas of the city following protests linked to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader. Police confirmed that routes leading to the US Consulate, Governor House, Chief Minister House and other sensitive installations have been blocked to prevent unrest. Containers and barriers have been placed at major intersections, with traffic diverted to alternate routes. Movement was restricted on Mai Kolachi Road, MT Khan Road and PIDC as a precaution. Officials urged commuters to follow updated traffic advisories. Security agencies said monitoring will continue as authorities seek to maintain order and protect diplomatic and commercial zones.
