Multan: The main construction work on the Multan–Vehari dual carriageway has been completed, improving a major transport link across South Punjab. According to a Punjab road-project briefing, the completed dual carriageway stretches approximately 93.5 kilometres. The route passes through the districts of Multan, Khanewal and Vehari and is already being used by commuters, transporters and commercial traffic. XEN Highways Vehari Rana Umair Latif told The Nation that the main carriageway had been completed, while plantation, landscaping, passenger facilities, benches and other beautification work remained underway. The upgraded road is expected to provide smoother movement for passengers and improve the transportation of agricultural produce and commercial goods across the region.
