Lahore: Construction on the Neela Gumbad Parking Plaza is continuing, with a fresh progress update shared by the verified NESPAK CMD page showing the project moving ahead in central Lahore. NESPAK describes the scheme as part of a wider effort to improve urban mobility while preserving the historic character of the Neela Gumbad area.
NESPAK’s own project material confirms that its scope includes design and construction supervision of a three-storey basement parking facility, pedestrian-friendly walkways and traffic-decongestion measures around the historic commercial district.
Earlier official reporting placed the project on around 16 kanals and estimated its cost at about Rs2.45 billion. The facility is planned to provide parking for roughly 374 cars and 790 motorcycles, while a separate underground level is intended for shops affected by the redevelopment.
The original completion target reported in 2025 was June 2026, but that date has passed. The latest NESPAK progress update confirms continuing work but does not provide a fresh completion percentage or revised opening date, so those should not be assumed.
