Two New Textile Factories Inaugurated in Punjab

Two new textile factories have been inaugurated in Punjab, marking a significant step toward industrial expansion and foreign investment in the province. The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior provincial officials and Chinese representatives, highlighting growing industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China. The factories are part of a Special Economic Zone initiative and are expected to begin production within one year. Authorities stated that the project will generate around 25,000 employment opportunities for local workers and introduce advanced textile manufacturing, including products not previously produced in Pakistan. Officials also revealed plans for additional factories, garment cities, electric vehicle assembly, and a pharmaceutical valley across Punjab. The initiative reflects the provincial government’s broader strategy to promote industrialization, enhance export capacity, and strengthen economic growth through sustainable industrial development.
