Traffic changes at Qurtaba Chowk as U-turn closed on Ferozepur Road Lahore

Lahore: Authorities have introduced key traffic changes at Qurtaba Chowk on Ferozepur Road due to increasing traffic pressure in the area. The protected U-turn on the signal-free corridor has been closed, forcing commuters to use alternative routes. Officials have also installed table-style speed breakers to control vehicle speed and reduce accident risks. According to sources, the protected U-turns built during the Metro Bus project were creating congestion, particularly at Qurtaba Chowk, where turning traffic was disrupting the flow. Traffic authorities stated that these measures aim to improve traffic movement, enhance road safety and reduce congestion on one of Lahore’s busiest roads. Citizens have been advised to follow the updated traffic plan for smoother travel.
