Sindh High Court Seeks Report on HIV Outbreak at Karachi’s Valika Hospital

Karachi: The Sindh High Court has sought a detailed report from the provincial health secretary and police chief regarding the alleged HIV outbreak at Kulsum Bai Valika Hospital in SITE area. A petition claims that the reuse of contaminated syringes at the government hospital led to HIV infection in a large number of children, with several reported fatalities. The court has given two weeks to submit the report. Parents of affected children have also filed petitions demanding action and proper treatment for the infected minors.
