Karachi Youth Develops Affordable Biogas System from Kitchen Waste

Karachi: A young innovator, Mustafa Siraj, has developed an affordable biogas system that converts kitchen and organic waste into clean cooking fuel. The portable unit uses natural decomposition to produce methane, which can be used for household stoves. The leftover organic material serves as organic fertilizer. This innovation offers a practical solution to the city’s ongoing gas crisis while promoting waste reduction and environmental sustainability. Siraj hopes to expand the technology with support from the government and private sector.
