Sewerage Failure Plagues Lahore’s . Duban Pura Area

LAHORE: Residents of Daban Pura are facing severe difficulties due to a deteriorated and outdated sewage system that has remained dysfunctional for the past five months. Broken and damaged sewer lines have caused wastewater to accumulate in streets and alleys, creating foul odors and unhygienic conditions. The stagnant sewage has also led to a rise in mosquitoes, resulting in health issues among children and elderly residents. Locals report that despite repeated complaints to the concerned departments, no effective action has been taken so far. The affected community has urged higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation and initiate a permanent solution, including the installation of new sewerage pipelines, to restore sanitation and improve living conditions in the area.
