Saanjhi Sabzi Project Provides Free Vegetables Across Muzaffargarh

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence will be established in every tehsil, while 100,000 electric bikes will be provided to students. Speaking at a ceremony in Arifwala, she said government schools are being upgraded to offer students from all income groups equal educational facilities and opportunities.

The chief minister also announced 100,000 laptops and another 50,000 merit scholarships for students. She said Rs40 billion is being spent to improve basic facilities in public schools, including classrooms, furniture, washrooms, clean drinking water, fans and modern laboratories. Artificial intelligence, computer, science, technology and mathematics labs are also planned.

Maryam Nawaz said 5,000 students applied for 1,000 seats at a Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence, reflecting strong demand. Separate reporting indicates the electric-bike programme involves subsidised, interest-free instalments rather than an unconditional free distribution to every recipient, so detailed eligibility and payment terms should be confirmed when the final scheme is issued.
