Residents protest gas loadshedding in Lahore, demand immediate supply

Lahore: Residents across multiple areas of Lahore staged protests against prolonged gas loadshedding, with a major demonstration held outside the Sui Gas office in Johar Town. Protesters, including women, reported that gas supply has remained suspended for months, severely affecting daily life and household routines. They highlighted rising expenses due to reliance on costly LPG cylinders and alleged that industrial units were being prioritized over residential areas. Citizens expressed frustration over repeated complaints with no resolution and demanded restoration of gas supply at least during announced hours. Authorities have yet to respond officially, while the situation continues to disrupt living conditions and increase financial pressure on households.
